Franklin County and the city of Sheffield will soon be taking bids to repair the C-13 bridge that gives Sheffield residents paved access to I-35.
Construction on the C-13 bridge isn’t scheduled to begin until next spring, but Sheffield Mayor Nick Wilson said the Franklin County Engineer will soon be taking bids on the project.
Sheffield and Franklin County have an agreement with the state to pay 20 percent of the total cost, with the state picking up the other 80 percent.
