Republican Casey Callanan announced today that he’s seeking re-election as a Cerro Gordo county Supervisor. Among what he described as “pro-taxpayer accomplishments” achieved in his term, he cited his supportive role in having lowered the county’s tax levy during each year since he was elected. Callanan said, “We’ve lowered our countywide levy by 13% in recent years, which helps Cerro Gordo remain competitive, in terms of it being attractive to potential employers and being an affordable, desirable place to live, work, and raise families”.
