Thornton is hatching a chicken ordinance for cooped up residents

The Thornton City Council discussed a new ordinance that would allow the keeping of chickens for private use at their regular council meeting on Monday, May 4.

Due to an interest from some members of the community in keeping chickens for egg laying purposes, the city is considering an ordinance that would establish permits and rules to that end.
